Our team has designed and delivered housing schemes, home extensions, refurbishments and retrofits, workplaces, community spaces, bespoke retail fit-outs, pop-up stores, cricket pavilions, art galleries and museums, and neighbourhood bike shops.

We’re here to do the best work we can and take care of our people while doing it. We challenge old thinking with new ideas and progressive practices because we believe there are better ways to work, and to live. That’s why we’re one of the few architecture studios with a four-day week. Our well-rested team is your energised team.

Andy Matthews

Director

Andy wants to continually improve our knowledge, services and ways of working so we can do better for our people, clients and their projects. In his own words: "I really give a sh*t."

Combining pragmatism and technical ability with relentless curiosity and ingenuity, he adds value throughout the design process, from that initial sketch to solving problems on site. And he’s passionate about collaboration – real collaboration. It’s only by working with the people who'll use the buildings for years to come that we can truly leave places better than we found them.

The architecture business can be challenging, and Andy believes in celebrating others’ success; he champions sharing knowledge and experience beyond our studio to benefit the profession.

He’s worked on housing schemes, schools and universities, retail fit-outs, art galleries, museums, workplaces, and heritage projects, putting together and leading big, complex teams. Recent highlights include a new pavilion for Streatham and Marlborough Cricket Club in Dulwich, a South London retrofit for a writer-and-artist couple (and their dog), and two spots for Interval, Edinburgh’s independent running store.
