A mini manifesto for practice

We've been doing lots of work on business systems, processes, cash flow, profit and loss, leads, CRM, our 'why' and all that other 'non HB pencil and smudgy sketch design stuff' recently. This is partly due to wanting to keep a roof over our heads and pay the bills of course, but there is a more important pursuit here. We can only do 'good things'* in a capitalist society by running a successful business (making and not wasting money). Inversely, those who don't focus on this are putting pressure on their staff to cover them and make up for their lack of business sense through long hours, poor pay and overwork.

So, we will look after our staff, change the profession, and are going to laser focus on sorting all this sh*t out! Call this a manifesto, if you will.

We're also keen to share our knowledge to help others sort their sh*t out, as we all benefit.

*We define good things as:

- Working a four-day week with no loss in pay (every weekend is a bank holiday)

- Not working overtime

- Working with brilliant clients who value our team

- Not compromising on the quality of our work

- Paying our people fairly

- Having a decent place to work

- Working with the best consultants and collaborators

We’re here to lead the way on changing the industry.
