Sacred Heart Catholic School presentation
Andy recently gave a presentation to a year 11 class at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Camberwell. They are currently studying: Construction and the built environment and designing a pavilion for a cricket ground. The presentation focused on the various stages of design for our cricket pavilion in Dulwich as well as answering some of the questions the students had prepared in advance.
How did you get into Architecture?
What career path did you take?
How did you make your own company?
What inspired your design?
Can you tell us what your design brief was?
What did you/could you add to a cricket ground pavilion to make it more sustainable?
What materials did you use and why?
How did you stay within budget?
What did you put inside of your Pavilion and why?
Did your design blend into the local environment? If yes/no why?
Do you have any tips for drawing?
We finished with more brilliant questions and some more informal chat around their current project and drawing tasks. It was a huge privilege to present to the students and the thoughtful nature of the questions asked was hugely inspiring. Thanks so much for having us! Thank you to Christopher for joining in and taking pictures.
