We’re looking for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our team.


Our portfolio includes housing, workplaces, cafés and restaurants, new private houses, retrofit projects as well as arts and cultural spaces. We are based in southeast London with our work extending across London, Sussex and Suffolk with some projects further afield.

We’ve reached the stage where we want to find the right person to expand the team at our studio in Bermondsey.
We’re looking for someone who is:
-  Motivated, curious and ambitious
-  Willing to learn, improve and develop
-  Engaged and inquisitive with an eye for detail and visual quality
-  Passionate about all aspects of architecture and design
-  Finds joy in getting things done

The right person has:

-  Computer draughting and 3D modelling skills (Vectorworks and Sketchup experience ideally)
-  The ability to communicate through doodles or sketches
-  Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools
-  Some form of rendering skills, Enscape would be a bonus
-  The ability to communicate well with others
-  Excellent written and spoken English skills

We are a collaborative and supportive studio that puts the wellbeing of our people first. We believe in mentoring and guidance at all levels and the position offers the opportunity to play a vital role in developing and shaping the future of Andy Matthews Studio.

We offer a four-day working week with no reduction in pay. The successful candidate will receive a competitive full-time salary of £32,0000 per annum, but will only be required to work 32 hours per week (Monday - Thursday). The position is studio-based.
