Planning Consent in Camberwell

Recent planning permission for works to extend and retrofit a Victorian terraced home in SE5.

Southwark Planning Consent

We’re thrilled to have gained planning consent from Southwark for a rear extension and retrofit on a beautiful treelined side street in Camberwell. We’re insulating the property, updating the layout and adding a new room to the rear for our lovely clients and their dog, Zola. The modest extension is orientated to bring light deep into the plan and will be constructed from carbon friendly timber frame, clad with oak cladding and topped with a galvanised sinusoidal steel roof. We’ve worked with our clients to complete just the right amount of work to solve their brief.

Next steps

We’re busy working through the RIBA Stage 4 Technical Design at present and are going out to tender early March to some friendly local contractors. We’re hoping to start on site soon after. We have also submitted a separate application for a new bin and bike store at the front of the property which will be included in the tender information once consent is received.

All done

The project is now complete and you can see the full details of the renovated home in our projects page under the homes category. The original illustration of the proposal is shown below, thanks to our talented artist, Gabriel for the image.
